As far as any other material u cud try slicing double sided tape in half but that wudnt fix the tilted screen. the reason i chose to use the remaining pieces of the shield was because the material is both thin and compressible but also grippy. when you slide open the key board its weak enough to let slide but strong enough to hold the screen straight when fully open. as far as my method, for the lower right insert, slide the phone halfway open and just try to shove it in there with something thin and somewhat stiff (ie: small piece of paper folded over 2-3 times) . For the top fully slide open the keyboard and very very very lightly pry the screen up enough to slide in the insert and position it. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the good ratings. were all dealing with this together. Its the least i could do for AC.
hi guys..
first question is what is a "invisible sheild thing"?
second question is.. does everyone that has a wobbly screen have a black phone? the reason I ask is my wife and i both have new G1's hers however is brown and has a different finish as far as the plastic.. my black one seems to have kind of a mat finish while hers seems to have a gloss finish. the gloss finish seems to be less sticky when it comes to the edges of the screen touching the other plastics.. or its just more sliperey..
the mat finish seems to be more gripy
the 2 screens seem to have exactly the same amount of wobbly..
so.. how many black screens are wobbly vs brown?

I fixed it!! Double sided tape cut small, shaved down, and stuffed (carefully) with a thin knife. I only needed one at the bottom by the chin on the end button side. Again thanks for the post.![]()
is there something i didnt read about why is your phone different from mine?
sorry for the off topic
how did u get them to stay in place? did u not open your phone for a certain amount of time?
just kinda press it down in place.
