    Yes, it worked. I don't think it picked it up every time though. So I'm going to answer this with a maybe.

    Odd, because I'm not the only one that is unable to the the G1 to connect to the WIFI network.

    I had heard the possible work around was to enable SSID broadcast, connect, and then disable the SSID broadcast.

    Bottom line, is that the WIFI doesn't work like it's supposed to. And Google hasn't fixed it yet.
