I know how to use Aircrack-ng in linux to audit networks. Now that Android can successfully create a working access point, there should be a driver for it to put the adapter into monitor mode. This will enable not only packet sniffing and injection to crack WEP keys but also spoof websites and etc. Of course hacking WEP is only on your own networks and only for educational purposes... But has anyone gotten it to work that way, or thinks it's possible at least?

Me and another member on here have lookd into it.
The dev of aircrack seems remotely interested, he wanted some info on the phone last time we spoke to see if it was possible.
I gave him what I could but he didnt get back to me yet.

Well, I didn't mean to make myself sound so pro at the subject. I have cracked many wep keys in the past but I'm not that good with linux. Only thing I could suggest is to let him play with the virtual android software available for PC. Obviously he'd need root, but basically getting the card into monitor mode is the most important thing.

I'm really interested to hear more on this. I've cracked wep before and it would be cool if our phone could do it. Maybe I could try this idea for our next android bounty? The last one we did turned out pretty well.
