Did you dl a lot of apps on your phone? If so that could be the root of your problem b/c they're taking up most of your system memory.
So after a little while of messing around with my new toy it started getting very slow and choppy...
notification bar did not slide down with swipe, just kinda appeared open after i swiped down.
flicking up and down of the call log has made me call people because it only registered a press.
opening an email message took FOREVER.
After restarting the phone it went back to its normal glory, any tips?

You can try clearing the cache and cookies. Mine started running slow after using it for 6 hours straight (waiting time in ER). When I cleared the cache it went back to normal.
Wow, yours lasted for 6 hours of straight use? Mine can go down to like 25% in like 3-4 hours, with no wifi, gps or blootooth turned on... only 3G.
Mine only gets choppy when panning heavy websites and it actually freezes up for about 5-8 seconds when hitting the home button occasionally, depending on what I'm doing. I tend to have a music player going and the browser concurrently (not to mention other apps).
Anyone else encounter the freezing upon exiting to home screen?
I forgot to mention that I was plugged into an outlet that was conveniently located next to my chair. So I was charging it the whole time cuz I KNEW it was gonna die after 2-3 hours of continuous use.
And yeah I've experienced the freezing-up as well.
