Why does my g1 have to be so difficult?

All I wanted out of it was to use wifi for once (I never use wifi less my phone is charging and its a blue moon) and watch some youtube videos.

Moving on from my Tmobile Wing to the G1 I've learned to manage priorties around from phone to phone. No more word document, no more good web browsing and such forth.

And mainly I learned to never rely on my phone to load something if I need or want it fast. After a few things watched, some videos stop half way through, error this video can't be played. Loading time is off. And eventually at one point, just recently which caused this rant.:

My phone automatically shuts down.

Anything like this ever happen to anyone else? Any advice? Etc.

im really getting pissed off with my phone right now

1.all of last night my internet wasnt working

2.i cant reboot my phone without losing my apps

3.right now i got a bunch of "system" force closes which led to alot more force closes so i had to turn off my phone and guess what.........my apps are gone!

4. sometimes i get random reboots and it wont stop until i pull the battery

maybe its the dudes rom or maybe its my phone but im starting to hate my phone mainly cuz i have to nandroid back my data like 3 times a day! i mean wtf is that!

Problems like konzern are having are what made me almost unroot my phone. There are times when my phone really frustrates me as well.....

i found that with apps2sd there are always some kind of "issues"....
without apps2sd i have had 0 problems . i dont really remember the last issue my phone gave me . i have 73 apps installed right now and 24 mb free . i find that it is enough . i only keep my caches on my sd card . i backup all my apps on my sd , i save the ones i like for later and keep the ones that i need on the phone . if i want to use a saved one later , i just install it when needed . very easy and quick .

Maybe they are to big. I remember haykuro saying that a partition doesnt need to be bigger then 500 mb's. Mine is only 450 mb and i have more room then i will ever need...

Yup i noticed that same thing. Back when i saved my apps on the phone i had no problems. As soon as i moved apps and dalvik to the sd my life was hell...

But i recently changed my partition to ext 3 and i havent had as many issues as before so maybe switching to ext 3 might help as well...
