If I had to guess it's probably because it's not officially offered in Vitnam. The first release of the iPhone didn't have support for international owners simply because international people weren't supposed to own it.
i think that is not the reason. Actually unicode today support vietnamsese in native. So that i cannot understand that why android do not include our language , like another applications of google.....?
i've seen where you can add the symbols used in vietnamese. I am VN, can't read it that well.
I just looked, and it's missing a few things to make it VN worthy. maybe they will include it in an update in the future.
BTW to see what I'm talking about, hold down a vowel while typing.
I know some developers are making lang packs for android...
Sadly I do not see theVietnamese pack as one being in production.
Maybe Google will release a lang pack update or something in the future.
Its like me trying to use a phone ment to be in japan. I can only read so much Japanese... and a lot of the good phones will never ever make it here...GREAT phones over there btw...
How many programmers dose it take to change a light bulb?
None - It’s a hardware problem
AHAHAHAAHAHAHAH What I found it funny?
Oddly enough, my G1 won't display Arabic characters (not that I can read them anyway), but displays Chinese characters just fine. I suspect it has something to do with the fonts not being installed, but I'm guessing that it's just a matter of loading the right fontset into the phone, and having a modified RC30 probably helps in this case
Screw Twitter, catch me on Plurk!
All you need in life : Love, air, water, a G1, 2 spare batteries and an unlimited data plan

you just need appropriate font and registry
G1 has DroidSans font (supports East Asian lanugage)
you can configure font setting and install the font to support, even Arabic
