    Default When you get the G1 should you charge it right away?


    Right after I get a electronic I usually charge it, but I heard you should drain the battery of any electronic you get then when it dies charge it. So whats everyone going to do?

    So how long are you going to charge it for? Just till it gets to 100% or are you going to do it by a certain time limit?

    well you can't charge it to 110% now can you? lol

    charge it till it's green (100%)
    use it till it dies
    *repeat cycle 2-3 times*

    lol. nice... what is the worst that can happen? there is no facts with it. lol. but i wouldn't worry about it... worth thing that happens is that your battery somehow goes bad... maybe... and you get it replaced... how could you charge your phone when you get it... turn it on. play with it. let it drain a bit. then play with it while on the charger. DUH! lol.

    Lithium-ion is a very clean system and does not need priming as nickel-based batteries do. The 1st charge is no different to the 5th or the 50th charge. Stickers instructing to charge the battery for 8 hours or more for the first time may be a leftover from the nickel battery days.
