When will the new 2009 G1 be available?

So i've heard that in 2009 there will be a G1 up for sale. When abouts will this be?

And I'm considering buying a G1 so would i better off buying the current G1 or the 2009 G1?

2009 G1 will be only a software Upgraded Version and remember all Old G1 will also get New Firmware Update pushed into Mobile till that time.

They left out the early adopters with the included headphone dongle...I happened to be lucky enough to receive it with mine, but I wouldn't say there's a 100% chance they wouldn't

okay first off its a little misleading to say "the new 2009 G1" there is no new device coming out, its still just the g1, thats not whats changing. if a new firmware comes out in 2009, then it will be available to all g1 owners, new g1 devices from the store will likely have the new firmware pre-installed, y wouldnt it be?

second, as far as i know there isnt a planned/announced new firmware coming out in 2009, ive heard rumors of some big things like flash 10 support, a virtual keyboard, and some other patches coming out in early 2009, along wiith a lot of new apps in the app market, but there hasnt been any official dates or anything.

get the g1 now, there IS NOT a newer version of the g1 device coming out in 2009
