I'd like to experiment with streaming audio from my G1 (dream) into my car somehow.
I have a radio/tape/cd deck.
I was looking at these bluetooth FM transmitting items on eBay but I get bad vibes from them generally:

I don't want to make calls or anything, I just wanna listen to music without installing a new deck or anything.
Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

Tape to headphone jack adapter. G1 to headphone jack adapter. Done.
FM Transmitters cause all kinds of issues, especially in traffic.
If you feel a little more adventurous, I recommend the Parrot MK6000.

It'll do a bit more than you want it to (voice calls) but it does music very well and handles calls exceptionally well. Because it's not Parrot's best system and has no screen it reasonably cheap and less interesting to thieves.
You might even be able to install it yourself, which means you could pick up the kit for about £80, like I did.
You keep your existing radio unit and install a blue box behind the headset in the dash which can lock out the stereo and play its own audio.
I got this a couple of weeks ago and love it. It's an FM transmitter, but the signal is plenty strong and I have no problems using it in and around Boston.
