What phone...

I was almost to the point of switching over to AT&T (until I found out I was still under contract :-() for an iPhone 3gs. I have a 2g iPhone unlocked with t-mobile. So now my question is what android phone is worth my phone upgrade I still have? I thought of waiting until November for the i7500 but it just seems too far away.

Can anyone tell me what is a good iPhone replacement? Please don't say g1 cuz I had one and it did NOT compete with the iPhone. I don't care about a physical kyboard. I like Bigfoot but then again I don't know when it's coming out. So should I wait for the i7500? Or upgrade to the mytouch 3g? (I hate that name lol) also the hero seems to have gainig popularity.

I pretty much want something to match the iPhone 3gs in terms of featres. (ram, CPU, compass, all that)

Any help is appreciated!

if i were you, i would go with either the mytouch 3g or the hero.

if your willing to wait a while, go with the hero. if not go with the mytouch 3g when it comes out.

Is the i7500 worth the wait? Is it true that it will only have so little ram? Does that affect the phone in a big way? I also forgot to add that battery life is a big issue foe me. I need a phone that will handle a whole (9am -11pm) day with one charge.

I understand it can be difficult to wait with so many enticing phones out there, but looking at the recent trend and that comment about "18 new Android phones coming out this year", I would definitely wait it out and see all the options that would be available to me!

I talked to T-Mobile customer service yesterday after Hero was announced and they had no clue about that device. I assume that since MyTouch 3G hasn't even started shipping yet, it'll be a while before Hero comes to T-Mobile USA.

yes the i7500 does have low RAM and that could lead the phone to be sluggish. the g1 can already be pretty sluggish(and it has 192 mb's) so i can only imagine what the i7500 would be like...

as far as battery i heard that the mytouch 3g gets pretty good battery life. the benefits of these phones NOT being iphones is that you can carry spare so i never really worry about my battery life now.

another advantage i would say the mytouch 3g has is its 2 year warrany. so your covered for your entire contract period... all things you should consider.

I believe if you check, it has 8gb of internal ram, and it will take a 32gb sd card.

8gbs of storage but only 128 mb of RAM.

Hmm so mytouch 3g is not such a bad deal after all huh? I hate the look of hero. So I will probably go ahead and order mytouch. Bigfoot's puny screen kills it. I7500's ram kills IT. so the more balanced phone to me would be da mytouch... Thanks guys! I'll probably still get an iPhone 3gS when prices go down on eBay lol.
