Yeah seriously.. I was so unhappy when they started waving it in our face that preordering cost more without us knowing so.. I felt ripped...
Now that walmart / sams club are retailing this phone they should launch wifi hot spots!

What is wrong with everyone? You know, if I write two numbers on a chalk board, let's say one of them is 179 and the other, I don't know maybe 148. Does the value of the first number change? No it doesn't. Now let say I change the second number to 179. Did the first number change? No. I have just proven mathematically that one persons gain is not another's loss and vise versa.

Seriously...come on people. If the net effect of a cheap G1 at Walmart is that many more people have G1s in their hands and are asking for apps and Android updates, then we all win. G1 stays hidden in the hands of we inhabitants of geekdom and hackerville and no real software developers believe they can make money, we all lose. Get behind the platform folks, even if it means some white trash loser gets the phone at Walmart for 30 bucks cheaper than you did (no...I'm not saying only white trash losers shop at Walmart...i'd be insulting myself).
