Signing a contract is not a trick. Unless you bought the phone outright you probably signed a contract.


On a side note, stupid walmart rolling back the savings!!! gawd!! why cant tmobile do the same??

everytime I walk by the cell phone counter thing all the phones looks cheap there. Now the g1 will be there .

OMG!! That sucks!! I ended up paying $300 for mine... now look at that... well actually maybe it isn't that bad. Just as they said "for as low as $179" (for those who qualify), this is just another marketing price. Let's put it this way, those of us who paid several Benjamins for ours kind of contributed to draw attention to the potential the G has. Let's say we were the foundation of the soon to come G's success.

since i have to send mine back, im thinking of picking one up at walmart and save 30 bucks unless tmobile will honor the price...
if its all walmarts this will be great... and also means that there should be another device coming soon since the g1 has now been labeled the sidekick replacement by many critics and users.
