wow. I don't know what to say. I think you tried everything that I would have done.

Call Customer Service, and they will troubleshoot your phone.

That will take a long time so call from a land line.

That would be my last resort.

If not then they send you another one.

    It's called a G1

    Do you have "Missed Call"

If so you might need to update that app, or uninstall it totally

    Try taking out the battery.

*It was another thread last night about this very thing

Are you sure it's not on Silent instead of Vibrate.

Click on messaging and then click menu. Press settings and scroll down till you see the vibrate option and select it.

I had the exact same issue happen. I'm sorry to say that the only way I was able to fix it was by resetting the phone to factory reset:

    1. Power off the G1
    2. Hold Home Key + End key for 20 seconds or until you see a “triangle with an exclamation point and a picture of the G1″
    3. Open the QWERTY keyboard and hit Alt+W
    4. Restored!

It will totally wipe it clean but the good news is that since your address book and calendar live on google they will be restored the minute you log back into your google account on the phone. The down side of course is that you will have to reinstall all your 3rd party apps. It worked for me so I know this method works. Currently I use dgAlert of txt messages and ChompSMS and those togther seem to work fine and not kill the Vibrate function for texting.

quick change to my previous post... I switched to SMS Popup from dg alert... DG is great but I like the pop up message better and it works like a champ with ChompSMS also. Very iPh**e like.

Yeah, I use all 3. Lol I like dg for the custom vibration (if I could get it to work, I like the demonstration vibration I set up anyways) & for the led colors, Chomp for the keyboard, and sms popup bc of the ... Popup. Lol, But factory reset resets EVERYTHING right? All my music & pictures are on my sd card, so they cant be messed w right?
