"upgrading" the recovery image is the same as installing it all over again... i.e.:
- mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
- rm -f /system/recovery.img
- flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery_testkeys.img
I've got JF1.42 recovery.img, and I'm running CM3.3.4, the latest radio (2.22.19.26I) and Hard SPL.
I think I'm going to try the Rogers build, and for that I need to upgrade the Recovery.img to the 1.43 version and the SPL to the 1.33 version.
When I upgrade the recovery version, I believe it's the same process as upgrading the ROM, but do I need to wipe or anything else special before or after I upgrade the recovery.img?
If I want to go from CM3.3.4 to the Rogers image, I assume that I should upgrade in this order, recovery, then SPL, and finally the new image (all using the usual "update.zip"/alt-l/alt-s procedure) When should I wipe, or does it matter?
Thanks

anybody have the latest recovery image (JF 1.43) uploaded somewhere?
xda seems to be down right now.
btw how important is it to have the latest version. i had recently flashed the lates radio, spl and rogers custom rom. everything is working fine right now.
i just noticed that i was still running JF 1.41 recovery and luckily i didn't "brick" when i updated the Radio and SPL last night.

cool thanks.. sorry for the noobish question but do i simply rename this to "update" and flash as usual?
will it affect anything or the current rom i have flashed?
You can, or you can "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img".
