Yeah, I posted a thread when i saw this advertised in the papers a couple of weeks ago. I'm only paying £30 a month for mine and would have got the 16 gb card that I bought anyway, so I don't feel as shafted as I guess others will.
Oh fan f*cking tastic!
I get an email from t-blobile saying I can now have the G1 on a £30 per month contract and it comes with an 8GB sd card too!!
So great, in thanks for my being one of the earliest adoptors and making the launch a success I get to pay £40 per month for mine and I only got a 2GB card too.
Well thanks t-mobile, f**kyou very much.

stop ur crying
we only get 1GB here in the US.
u get 2...and apparently now 8.
And beside the sd card size, our phones ARE NOT FREE
so get over it![]()
I know phones are not free and I wish, oh I flaming wish that NO phones at all were ever paid for by the contract.... that way we could pay for our phone up front and for those of us who keep our phones for more than 6 months would enjoy cheaper contracts as we'd not be subsidising those who dont.
Any other smart but obvious comments?
As for our common wealth cousins over the pond.... GET OVER IT!!!! you get everything good and cheap, in fact this phone is the first deal I've ever seen thats cheaper in the UK.
is that 65 bucks a month for the service and the phone? cuz i pay 80 bucks for the G1 plan with unlimited text and 300 minutes...
Oh yeah, plus i had to buy the phone, which came with only one gig card
Yeah thats about right 65 bucks ,free phone wiff 8gb card and 700mins + free texts. I still feel ripped off here in the UK so u lot out in the US must be fooking fuming.
How long do the contracts last for? Do you have to wait a year or two until you can get a new phone for a deal like that?
In the UK we are generally on 18 month contracts so the contract total is £720 or roughly $1400.
In a bid to embarrass me for starting this thread it seems t-mobile are now offering the £30 a month deal to existing customers.... :-)
