From what I can rememebr from the press launch for the G1, T-Mobile will be launching their largest advertising campaign in history around the G1 and their 3G network.
In advertising, timing is everything, even if there is a huge internet buzz already around the G1. You don't want to advertise a product too soon begore the launch since people will go out to the store and try to buy it and then be disappointed. the weekend before the launch is when we will most likely see the first ads running on out tv screens, internet ads are already popping up all ovet the place. I run google ads on my blog and for the past week, all that's been showing is a t-mobile G1 pre-sale ad.
T-Mobile is using the G1 as their flagship phone to launch their 3G network. 3G data plans means a lot more revenue for the company so you can be assured that t-Mobile will be pushing the G1 and it's internet/media capabilities.
Most likely we will see new "My Faves" commercials and at the end the commercial will mention something about getting a new G1 phone, sans two-year contract.
very true. you never know. they might come out with an ad they might not but i think they will cause they have yet to announce there 3G service in an AD
