Tracking your Phone

How do you track your phone? Where/when do I find out my confirmation number and all that jazz? I can barely contain my excitement; we have a whole month!!!!

I believe that as soon as T-Mobile ships out your package you will hopefully receive a UPS tracking # via e-mail on your account.

Then again none of this is confirmed yet.

Thanks. I don't remember how it worked when I ordered my Sidekick3.
However, I do remember it came exactly when it said it would.

I would imagine so, UPS is extremely reliable and gets parcels to there location on the day they promise 99% of the time.

Last time I ordered a phone from them I could track it at UPS and the tracking number was my cell phone number no dashes or spaces... I'm thinking it will be the same..

Actually I can confirm this, I use to be management at UPS. I was an operations management specialist and I now remember that T-mobile had that arrangement with UPS.

I'm actually going to call T-Mobile right now to re-confirm this is still how it is done and exactly what needs to be typed into the tracking field.

somewhere on the G1 FAQ it says you can start tracking the phone starting on October 20th, just type in your 10 digit number as the REFERENCE number and you should receive information.

the tracking # will be your phone number with the dashes. xxx-xxx-xxxx. won't be able to track it till it actually gets shipped. they said to start checking about a week before the 22nd.
