By chance I've found the androidcommunit.ycom. I like this forum. I want to find out, How to Track the location of m husband with his cell phone?I'm not old ither ugly (even pretty girl). My husband is giong out of town for what he says is aBusineess trip. I have my doubts bur i owuld liketo onw if there's any way i can track hsi lpcation by his phone number without hom knowing and without downloading anything on his phone.he has a blackberry 8830 world edition msart phone. It is like on thhis picture:Any info with be greatly appreciated.Thanks

As an early prototype to start learning Android development one of our guys created a secure wallet / secure notes app. It would store credit card / bank card as well as misc text notes in a secure encrypted format. It would require a password to get in.

He also implemented some advanced features that were activated by remote SMS text message. You had to set a separate text message password on the app and then send the text message commands. One of the features was to completely wipe all of the secure data from the phone. The other was a phone locator with configurable speed of sending messages. It would utilize the GPS and send a link to google maps with the GPS coordinates back to the sender every few minutes. It would update as frequently as every 1 minute to get a really fine detail of where someone was.

If there were a demand for this type of app it may be something we could get on the marketplace, although not in time for the original poster to keep tabs on her husband.

This is something we've thought about before although more along the line of keeping track of an elderly parent or a young child or teenager.

Would anyone actually want something like this?

Edit: By the way, I should mention, this would be for Android phones only. We don't do any development for the blackberry right now
