    Default Touch Screen Messaging

Is it possible for a developer to incorporate this somehow? I wish I had the ability to just send a msg without the QWERTY keyboard. Just smaller text or aims msgs. I would do it myself If i knew where to start.

Also I have big hands and long fingers and I can't tell you how many times i pressed the period key instead of the space key.

I would definitely want to see this feature up in the app store.

I believe it would come out.

Anything is possible with open source.

I mean common sense tells me that if we can tap the screen then we can use a similar feature to txt with the screen closed.

    Come on APP developers!

    It's called a G1

Common sense would seem that those two go hand in hand. It makes we wonder why it didn't come with the phone initially? It's probably a developers way of saying, let someone else do it, that way it can show how easy Android is to develop for?

As Mr. Liciuos said, just give it time.

It will come. I hope they utilize the multitouch capabilities of the display (if possible) because I'd really hate to have to type one letter at a time

i really wouldn't mind one letter at a time, my only concern is space constraints. The phone already has auto text! i don't see how difficult it could be. i just feel slightly jilted cause i dont appreciate the keyboard all that much. letters to flat, i'm used to the sidekick lx layout...maybe in due time.

I'm sure they'll come up with a way. Esp with the open source. the phone isn't perfect and has a long way to grow. WIth so many customers on the edge ( no pun intended ) of getting their phones..its only a matter of time. Somtimes its not about Supply and demand...its about DEMAND AND SUPPLY. There are a lot of us. They'll give us what we want...OR ELSE! lol!
