can a reset fix this or is it more of a hardware problem, a lot of the times i have to touch the screen multiple times for it to comprehend what i did

Is it responding differently than it has in the past, meaning; is the response in familiar apps or home screen now different than it used to be during similar conditions? By similar conditions example I mean cold/outside temps dry fingers etc. versus normal inside temps.
The other side could be software; if something or several things are running in the background and it’s taking time for the processing to catch up with your input.
Just trying to understand if you think it’s hardware or software issue?
This is some what common, it depends on how you touch the screen
When I try to send a IM using Chomp, I have to touch the screen a few times.
But if you feel uncomfortable, call C S

yeah its the same conditions, im not completely annoyed with it atm but i have noticed it will take a few taps sometimes, and the camera button on the side....i dont think that works anymore, it doesnt bring up the camera app
Try just completely wiping the phone. T-Mobile will make you do that before you send it in anyways. My guess is that you have some software issues going on.
Did you reassign the camera button on the side? I don’t believe that is a default setting (not that there’s anything wrong with that).
You might want to try a reset to see if that clears it up. My guess it is will, unless you put your G1 through some sort of trauma (dropped it of sat on it etc).
hard reset or soft reset? and whats the difference i dont remember.....also with all the backup programs i have it shouldnt be hard to get my phone back to normal after a reset right?
the camera button i guess does work i just have to press it in REALLY far, sorta pointless to make it that hard to push in, with that much effort it would definitely throw a shot off, i guess thats why people say use trackball
