I had an LX before I got the G1, and I would never go back, I sold the LX and am glad I did.
went thru a few sidekicks, just left a sidekick slide to come to the g1, i still got all them on my dresser, but nah, i aint going back to none of them... my sidekick days are more than likely done for good

I jus wanted a few opinions I would never go back either Im playing with my old LX and it came across my mind for a second! LOL
i never thought id say it, but my sidekick feels weird in my hand now..like it doesnt belong... but to be fair, the sidekick was the best at what it did.... i guess its a classic lol

No way! G1 is the way to go.![]()
i had every single sidekick pretty much, a sk2, a sk3 and an lx before this phone, and i always swore i would never turn my back on the sidekick until i got the g1.
im not saying i would never go back to a sidekick but danger would have to up their game quite a bit.
I started with the original SK back in the day, then progressed up through the CSK, SKII, SK3, SK LX... In between each one I usually went and bought whatever the latest "hot" smartphone was, but I always returned them within two weeks because they just weren't as usable as the Sidekick. Even though they had touch screens and the Sidekick didn't, you just couldn't beat the SK for one-hand navigation and ease of getting from one thing to another. It annoyed me royally that T-Mo disabled my ability to add my own ringtones, but I still couldn't find a better phone.
Until the G1.
I find it even more usable. It has the shortcut keys of the SK and a touchscreen. I can do just about anything I want with it and to it. It has way, way more features than my SK LX. I've finally found a worthy replacement.
That being said, the specs that leaked this week for the next generation SK sound totally sweet! A Sidekick with GPS and turn-by-turn nav is an awesome upgrade. I'm sticking with Android, though.
i had a lx... sold it the day i got my g1 and have not looked back...
