One good thing about not having a great spell check.
It helps you learn the correct spelling of words. Because if you're ever stuck, you can always search Google.![]()
Coming from a SK-LX, I am looking for the the settings to automatically replace text based on what I typed. I can see the options for auto capitalization and for the spacebar-two-times-for-period, but no where to see the dictionary/auto text feature. It would be nice to get little squigglies for misspelled words in case there is not an easy fix for it.
also I found the capitalization is hit or miss. I *thought* I set it but it didn't happen while in a text box on a web page (mobile yahoo mail).
It's nice to have a one or two keystroke (and a space) to convert instantly to the names of my family and/or other things. I just can't find it anywhere.

text replace was also good cause @www could be replaced with your website address, or @address your full street address. Less to do with proper spelling and more to do with saving time
Shivian Balaris (shivian.com)
Is it possible to set that up? Where do we go to set up @address to be replaced with our address?
I 3rd/4th/6th this..
Coming from the blackberry world, this was awesome because I would type keywords and it would replace it:
u = you
ur = your
gm = good morning
goog = google.com
mo = month
yr = year
d = day
*date* = inserts current date
those are just some of them that I use
Any news on a text replacement for android???
I exclusively use this for different signatures on my Blackberry - one of Blackberry's fantastic features!
I cannot imagine that we cannot find this simple feature / facility on Android!....
