It could be good for a not so tech savy grandma to send pics of the grandkids....

I can immediately see where this would work, but I think the pricepoint ruins it. If I could make a one-time purchase of even $150 dollars, I would do this right now, but to pay $10 per month... yuck.

My mom lives in another state and is always bugging me for more pictures of the grandkids. I would buy the picture frame for her and then as I take pictures of the kids, I would hit the "cameo" button and they would appear on her picture frame. I could see how she would love this, seeing new pics of the kids just showing up everyday. By the way, I would much rather do this than take a bunch of pics and email them, or txt to her phone. The technology is just much more convenient for me, and definitely for her as she is not tech savvy.

Again. The monthly plan is what kills this for me. Fix that and I'm on board.

yeah, i was thinking about those 8mp camera's I saw on one of the recent android vids from the uk...If you had something like that and a grandma across the country, and the disposable income, then yeah, i could see someone like that buying it.
ASUS eee Pad Transformer en route!! T-mobile G2 in hand, N1 on loan to my daughter. G1 on ice.

Yes, precious...my Transformer is almost here...now if only T-mobile would roll out Gingerbread for my G2 already!!

you can already buy digital frames that sync with online photo albums for no monthly fee. just snap a pic and send to your album and it will ppear in the frame.

why would anyone buy this one?

    Pic2Frame Android app, anyone?

It's a cool idea, but needs to be free.

I wasn't aware of that. Do you have an example? I'd love to check it out.
