Thanks for the info Kaziko, I hope you and the family are all doing well. I remember my first little one and i'm impressed you even took the time out of this busy time in your life to post up those pics. I would have been posting pics of my new son instead of the phone!!! But we are (MOST of us atleast) greatful you took the time to think of us. Now I think you should start a thread with you little one's first post to the world here on AC.......it could be titled something like ........ HELLO WORLD. ok cheesy i know CONGRATS!!!!!!

For all the negative response I have had about all the doubts that I even have the G1. I will post these pics to prove that I do in fact have a G1 in my hands. And this will be the last you will hear from me about this device. I tried to be nice and give a little heads up on the G1 and even told people not to flame me, but obviously that was too much to ask. So with this being said, good luck finding another Inside source on the phone that you so desperatly seek to know of!

kaziko, just know that this forum (and this thread in particular) is being watched by the moderators. The vast majority of the people replying in this thread want to hear about the phone and what you have to offer and don't want you to leave. Anyone commenting negatively will be dealt with accordingly, so perhaps you could just focus on the people with real questions?

Like mine:
How is the call quality?
How fast does surfing on EDGE seem to you? I live in Virginia Beach and we won't get 3G until... well, I don't know when. Will I find it tolerable or am I going to regret my decision?

OOooo good questions! I wanna know these answers too! Also, do you know when 3G will come to J-ville?

kaziko, just brush the haters off, enjoy your new little bundle of joy (they don't stay little for long), and answer some more G1 questions here on the forum.

In my eyes, if i have to do all that, not worth my time. Simple, make the player be able to read all those formats... Not trying to be lazy, but give me what i paid for...

It's not just formats, it's codecs. There are thousands of codecs out there. The only players I've seen that can play any file any time are VLC and Media Player Classic, they come pre-loaded with virtually every codec out there. Most everything else gets hung up on this or that codec missing. It's a fairly common problem. Hopefully VLC will make android version.

I am from Jacksonville as well and may just have to take a trip over to your store to play with your G1. Maybe it will be enough to pacify me until the UPS guy delivers mine.

I wish I was living in Jacksonville again. I lived off of San Pablo just a couple of years ago. *sniff* I miss it there, but alas, the Navy had a different plan for me.

and you know what still blows my mind, out of all the people with a G1 on every andriod forum Im on, and every single phone website, none of them can take 3 minutes out of thier lives and test out the AIM client
its unbelievable, not aiming towards you kazkio, just everybody in general

theres not 1 review about the AIM client, that really ticks me off
