Switching Sd Cards Help?

Hey all, just got a new sd card with more memory, but I lost my pics and videos. Anyway to save them to the phone itself and transfer to the new sd card? Or just a way to transfer them over?

Connect your device to your computer via USB cable.
Create a file on your desktop to store files.
Drag and drop from the phone to your new folder.
Disconnect device from computer.
Switch SD Cards.
Reconnect device to computer.
Drag and drop files back to device.
