First, some preliminary statements:
1) I apologize if this has been asked before, did some searching before posting.
2) I am not trying to steal apps, I have contributed my fair share in donations and purchasing apps.
ok,
Recently, I have decided to change my Gmail Screen Name. It wasn't particularly offensive/stupid, but I wanted something I could put on a resume (I was using my ISP provider as a "Professional" e-mail). Little did I know that certain things are "tied" to an Google e-mail addresses, like, for example, Google voice and Google checkout. As soon as I found out about the Google voice thing, I looked into it, and found nothing other than "maybe some day". Ok, whatever.
Today, however, I did a clean install of Android onto my G1 (I physically broke my last mem card believe it or not...), and much to my dismay, when I used a different email, all my purchased apps were missing. I looked around to change my Google account around, and can't find anything.
Has anyone else had this problem, and or does someone know of a solution (an email to send or something)? All I can say is be sure you want to keep your Gmail address when you sign up for stuff...

This is an excellent question. Here is a posting on how to change your gmail account.
Here is a thread that explains how it affects your paid apps and previous account.
Short answer is, if you backed up your paid apps, you should be able to reinstall but you won't get updates as your email address/account is different.
