stick with cupcake or root?
I currently have version 1.5 on my g1 and I thought about rooting it but I don't know a lot about it. I was wondering if you guys can help by posting ur opinion if I should root or not. And also wat other things I can do if I did root it. Thanks.

I used to have a T-shirt that said next to Godliness is Root. Yeah I was a Linux geek back in the day.
The ability to throw on new OS's, Apps2Sd, move your cache, run root apps. Its just pure fun.

I too have 1.5 and I was thinking about rooting to install apps on my sd card. Im gonna do a bit more research before rooting.
