Sign out of gmail

So I am trying to sign out of my gmail account on my phone. If I am at work, I don't need notification on my phone if I have it in front of me on my computer. I searched in other threads and someone said to hard press the menu key and there should be an option to "sign out of all" or something along those lines. I can't find this, can someone give a more detailed description on when I press the menu button?

Another solution is to cancel the notifications in your email settings when you are at your desktop. That way, you will never know when you get a new email. Turn the notifications back on when you are away from your computer. That seems a bit easier than signing out and signing back in.

You may even be able to use Locale to do this automatically for you, and then the world is right.
