Screen already starting to make creeking sound ?

Is there anyone who has had a black G1 longer than a week and not experiencing the creaking? I have this issue but it did not start until after about day 4.

Its just the slids mechanism. Just dont abuse it.. but youll have that with plastic moving parts... It wasnt made from top of the line materials, just be gentle with it d it shouldnt get any worse than a slight wobble and a little bit of a creak.

It's supposed to creak after some time (all video reviews mention it started creaking after heavy use). Mine started creeking on day 2 with very light touches and slow smooth sliding. My brother's is still silent. I think it's more inline with general build quality and the HTC tolerance level. Minor creaks are likely just passed through since it's an annoyance, not a functional issue... I'd love to get a non-creaking version, but I can live with it. Even a new one will eventually start creaking.

i have a black one and its only been 2 days since i bought it and the screen piece had already loosen up.

ive got it creeking a bit and ive been very gently with it but i teet alot so maybe me opening and closing the phone is the problem

if the screen piece is tightly fitted, we should not be hearing the creak noise in the first place. this is a design flaw, i remember Nokia's N95 and N82 users had similar problem with 1st version, and Nokia took care of it on the later batches.

HTC should do the same, at least I hope they do, but who knows when...
