Default rooted phone; will an OTA update undo it?

Yes, I've searched but got conflicting opinions if one has a rooted G1 will he receive the next OTA firmware update.

I've read that the keys in the modded firmware will prevent a OTA update but I've also seen that you need to move the location of a certain file for prevention.

    Which is true?

Why do you have to be condescending? He said that he did search but got conflicting information.

People come to forums for HELP, not an attitude. It truly is annoying when someone has made a good faith effort to find some information before posting a question and "Senior Android" replies with sarcasm.

Even in the description it says no....

A search might take more than 10 seconds of poking around ya know....
