Ok apparently the are supposed to be located in /system/media/audio/ringtones/ and I've checked. There is only one .ogg audio file in this directory! Wierd..
Does anyone know where i can download these and possibly how I can reinstall them on the phone?

Rooted & Cyanogen: now no ringtones?
Rooting and install worked beautifully but now when I got to try and change the default ring tone there is only one selection available!
Has anyone encountered this before?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand I've answered my own question.
In case anyone else runs into this I'll finish the thread off by saying:
Download and install the audio package when you install Cyanogen! hehe
