No, the update file is deleted when the phone reboots.
Hope this isn't redundant information but I'm not too excited for this update... Most of the updates are cured by apps already in the market. I'd still rather use chompsms and savemms than use the standard messaging program. Don't use the standard aim program either. Updates are tracked easier by atrackdog.
