please help! my phone wont start

after updating WHERE and AHOME, i got many force close pop ups, which annoyed me so i turned my phone off. then i turned it back on, and it just stays at the ANDROID logo. i cant use my phone anymore. please help me with this situation.

start the phone pressing on and the home button. when something pops up, push alt+w, then restart. this will do a factory reset.

You do not have to do a factory reset.
Hold down MENU button as you power up will be in SAFE MODE. you can then either go to my downloads in Market. or manage applications & uninstall ahome, it has done that to me twice this week.

p.s. how do you restart the phone when it's stuck outside of taking out the battery?

I update Where last night also and now my phone will not start. It is stuck on the Android logo. I have tried all the different key combos I could find to try and reboot or reset the phone but none of them turn off the phone. Any ideas?

Ok. Easy fix for me. I reseated the battery and the phone booted without any trouble.

To be fair to Where, I also updated several other apps. I mentioned it b/c OP had also upgraded and I thought there might be a connection. Where seems to be running ok today.
