    Unhappy Photos

I've only had my G1 for a week and I have a question. I put my photos from my computer into the DCIM folder on my memory card, 8 gig, but I can't find them on the phone.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you

strange... the photo viewing app on the G1 should scan all folders to find photos

u don't have to put them in the DCIM folder either, u can put them anywhere. i created a folders for different photo topics/events/people and i can view those fine

also, maybe you used an incompatible file format. i don't know which ones will definitely work and which ones won't.... but it's always a safe bet with JPG

good point... if it's plugged into the computer and it's mounted you won't be able to access anything on it from the phone

u have to unmount it (disconnect)

incorrect, you can have it plugged into the charger or an usb port on your computer and still have access to your memory card... the main reason why you can't access it is because you had it mounted to act as an external drive on your computer, once you unmount it everything is accessible

i was simply stating that you can have it plugged in unmounted... yes i know what they said, but your post that i bolded is clearly going to bring up confusion with unexperienced people...

you're saying you can't have it plugged into the charger (you think) and access pictures, so yes, my reply still holds value
