some older card readers have issues with sdhc cards. is this the case?
Something odd happened, I have a desktop and a laptop, neither of them will read the micro sd card in the adapter. I've tried three cards in four different adapters, nothing happened. I plugged in my psp's memory stick, it popped up right away, so the card reader works. i just formatted my sd card, its FAT32, clean format, nothing on it.
I want to partition my sd card to run apps on it, can I do this in my phone via the usb cable? I have no other way to read it.

my 8gb is an sdhc, the other one is a 1gb sd. Both are transcend, if it makes a difference. Third one is a kingston 2gb card.
Huh, i just noticed Pinesal made a similar thread tonight, if this seems a duplicate, maybe they should be merged. I think I may be asking something a bit different though, I need the partitioning aspect done.

i meant the card reader itself. i know i have some older card readers that won't read my sdhc cards. only the newer readers i have seem to work. i guess if your partition program see's it in the phone you could try it. i usually opt for a reader though.

I can always swing by Radio Shack and pick up a cheap one just to see, can always return it if I don't need it. I'll hold off until the weekend and see what happens. Its just odd, that's all. Only one of the three sd cards is an sdhc.
