hmmm.... I wonder what that could be... maybe something to do with the kill switch... or security that they don't have. lol... only time will tell.
I came across this in another forum, I don't know if anyone else has posted it here yet:

I'd like to know when the get the first firmware update as well. Do we think it will take a long time before this were to happen?
That's a good question. lol... depends how many complaints they get prob... i'm guessing they already have an update.... or are close to it. just haven't released it yet.. and do we get those in our market... or will it be an auto update?
I guess I'm gonna wait on the 20th and not download any apps until the next day.
If you download anything before the update, you'll have to d/l them again.
Not sure what time the update is happening.

Yes I was wondering about this. Too soon and it will look like they released a faulty Phone and get slated, too late and they it will look like they released a faulty phone AND aren't doing anything to fix it. Give them a couple of days after launch when they can say that problems have come to light which would not have been seen previously due to the sheer number of phones on the network. Remember both iPhone and 3G had a number of fixes in their first weeks.
Funny I think they waited for all the reviews to see the response and now the next update will satisfy those missing pieces. People forget how the iphone worked when it first came out. It was really just cool to have one, but functionally it needed a lot more (still needs a lot more).
