    I have six browsers on my Wing and they are all terrible compared to the Android browser.

    I realize the Wing doesn't have enough memory to run a full-featured browser like Opera Mobile 9.5 correctly, but the Android browser is still nicer. I actually like Skyfire better than 9.5.

    Opera Mini was the most useful for reading and navigating, but it has obvious limitations compared to the Android browser.

    I have to agree, I think the browser is excellent that comes with Android. Here are the things that Opera Mobile 9.5 does that would make the Android browser absolutely the best mobile browser available;

    1-Double tap to zoom. This is HUGE! The zoom in and out buttons in Android browser are merely adequate.

    2-Touch screen back button. Android only has the hardware back button or a back function buried in the menu.

    That's really about it. Of course there's Flash but Opera doesn't have that either.

    What would be nice would be something like a mouse gesture. Tap the screen than touch and drag left to go back or drag right to go forward. Something like that would be nice.

    Great idea! Another could be drag in a circle for refresh. I can think of so many gestures. Maybe a 3rd party could add this functionality.

    gestures would be a nice touch, but a circle? what if i happen to move the page and accidentally draw a circle...

    at this point, i find the android browser lackluster... even with 3g and wifi speeds, it doesn't load as fast as i would like... tbh, i'd rather still browse on opera mini... like you said, it has its limitations but is still the most usable for me... heck on my shadow pages load super fast on opera mini and it has all the functionality and speed that i need, and this is over edge...

    proxy based browsers ftw

    Good point. But I am sure there are many gestures that could be implemented easily.
