shouldn't you be on rc8?
I have a rooted UK G1 using JF's RC9
I want to keep it localised (UK versions), is there currently a way to update my phone to 1.5 without having to wipe my phone?
I'm not sure I 100% understand all the threads that are around.
I have JF Updater app installed but just found out that it's not made/maintained by JF
cheers

The only way to run cupcake at the moment is to install a build based of the ADP1.5 (developer phone) image and this is not localised. Only the JF-RC9-UK build is localised as it is based on the t-mobile localised image. If you must have that, you would need to wait until cupcake is release OTA to t-mobile customers in the uk and either update from a non-rooted g1 or wait for JF to repackage that new image for rooted users.
As a uk user, the only thing I have spotted is the number format being a bit like xxx-xxx-xxxx and everything else is fine.
Grabbing and playing BBC iPlayer programmes on your G1
Currently running The Dude's v1.0 Release
Waiting on new class 6 card for apps2sd
I too moved from RC9 to ADP1.5 yesterday.
Not really noticed anything different to the 'localised' RC9 to be honest.
I just backed-up my apps using Astro (this I definitely recommend you do).
Updated the radio
Wiped the phone
Installed JF's cupcake
Reinstalled the apps
Everything worked first time out. Out of my apps, only Power Manager doesn't want to play with cupcake.
dont want to wipe the phone though, I have a couple of apps that I use that have unique numbers that are linked to facebook and a web site and that number changes on new installs
should post questions here
