    Default No updates yet?

The hell? My girlfriend has gotten RC29 and RC30 requests, but not me. Still RC19.

    EDIT:

I went ahead and upgraded using the RC19 to RC28 file and it shows RC29 as some people are reporting. So is it really RC28 or RC29? Can I now use the new update.zip released (RC29 to RC30)?

You can upgrade using your sdcard with no problem. if you have RC19 go ahead and download rc29 https://android.clients.google.com/u...-RC19+RC28.zip and follow my instructions below.

Then try the rc30 update as detailed below. If you are one that wants root access you can follow my directions I posted here http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f...and-root-6867/ (This is for RC30 update)

However, if you don't know what root is then you should stick to the official update and use these guidelines.

The official rc30 update can be found at

    https://android.clients.google.com/u...t.1582cace.zip

The official RC29 can be found at

    https://android.clients.google.com/u...-RC19+RC28.zip

    Then follow these directions:

    • Download the update from google website

    • Rename the file you just downloaded to update.zip

    • Copy the file update.zip to the root of your micro sd card.

    • Now turn off your phone and turn it back on while holding the home key.

    • When you see a triangle with a exclamation sign and a phone, slide open your keyboard and press ALT-L to display the menu and then ALT-S to start the update process.

    • Wait for the update to finish. If prompted, press Home + Back to restart your phone.

    • Wait a little bit more and done!

Now I'm trying to get into my SD card and I can't.

Before when I would connect it would tell me I couldn't get into the SD Card, so I enabled SD Storage..and instantly it would go into it right after in Windows. Now I got the same error in XP so I went into the phone to enable and the option is GONE.

Strange......Don't know what to tell you except that is you can, take your sdcard out, put it in an adapter, and stick it in your computer. Then put the update on it, put it, the sdcard, back in your phone then update.

I was on RC28 until now and received my RC30 update just last evening. Never received the RC29 update on my phone. I think they're rushing the RC30 update out quickly because of the jailbreak exploit. I'm sure you'll get that soon enough. I think being in a 3G area constantly for 3-4 hours helps that. I used to have my phone connected to the home wifi network all the time, but it never received update, but last evening, I was in a 3G area for about 4 hours and received the update.

Jonapunk, I would have thought that you would be able to update from rc19 straight to rc30 but maybe not. So go ahead and download rc29 https://android.clients.google.com/u...-RC19+RC28.zip and follow my instructions above.

Then try the rc30 update as detailed above. That should definitely get you going.

Flexnix, you should also be able to upgrade to RC30 since you have rc28.
