    Default New Sim card

I heard that this phone has a new sim card in oreder to work with the new network. Anyone know this to be true? I talked to a UK tmobile person and they said they have had 3G for a few years now and phone got new sim cards. I am curious about this because on m family plan my mother is eligable for the $179 discount and I am not. I was going to order the phone under her number but I didnt know if they iwll send a new sim that will be compatible with her phone number only. Thanks for any info on this. I really want to order my phone.

it seems LOTS of people want to do this and there are several concerns associated: is there a new sim card? is the data-plan cancellable (or is it part of the contract)? and can you just sign up for the data plan on your own number? i await these answers as well...

no you do not need a new sim card. im a rep for tmobile and had a 30 second channce to play with the phone. a blackberry sim card was in the phone and the browser worked perfectly.
