Hi. I don't own a G1, mainly because I'm not sure I want the Google or TMO tie in. I also don't like the look of the G1 hardware - just my taste.
I do however love the concept of Android and think it's got a great future and the potential to dominate.
When do you think we'll start seeing Android appearing on other hardware? Is HTC contracted to only provide hardware for Google or are they free to release their own Android phones?
Do you think we'll see Samsung, Motorola, etc releasing Android phones soon?

Well android is an open source setup so...I would think any one could use it in there phones. I wouldn't be surprised if they became uploadable to all the phones, like doing a reformat to a computer, just to your phone instead. Android is just like Linux but for phones its really funny when you think about how much alike they both are.
A few different manufacturers have teams working on Android-based phones. Motorola has a relatively large team working specifically on their development. A few other companies are also on board, but I forget which.
