Need to Borrow Sim Card

I need to activate my friends G1 but i dont have a data plan, is there anyone in the Los Angeles area (closer to santa clarita) that would be kind enough to let me use their sim card for 30 seconds?

is your friend rooted? if so, with the haykuro builds,you can bypass the google login, and connect via wifi. or maybe you have no clue what i'm talking about??? lol

You could try using this new search engine called 'Google', perhaps searching for 'g1 no sim card', and see what happens.

theres another thread on here that mentions a guy accesing the setting through adb so he could switch on wifi
