need help! possibly bricked my phone

ok so i tried to upgrade to the RC33 update BUT after the flash and the reboot its now just hanging at the G1 startup screen forever. but if i remove the battery and reboot it in recovery console i can get to the command prompt. is there anyway to mount the phone via command prompt? if so i can access the phone on my latop and then revert back to RC30.


any ideas?

You just need to do a wipe. (Alt +w) while at the console. Then re-apply the update like you did the first time.

You will lose apps and stuff, but whatever is on the sd card and whatever is stored in the cloud (google) will be okay.

just gonna make a quick suggestion
make a nand backup of your g1 before doing anything that might brick it. that way, you at least have a backup of your g1 to restore to

to do this, just go to the recov menu and just use the commmand for the nandroid 2.0

i believe the shortcut is alt+n, but im not sure

You'll need to flash back to RC29, through the bootloader, with dreaimg.nbh.

thanks guys. but how can i flash back to rc29 if i cannot get the thing to mount? is there a way to mount it on the recovery console so that i can put the files back onto root?

i was thinking that if i could mount from either the command prompt on the phone or from cmd then i could do it that way.
