i was hoping to cop a new device before the summer was out...

I have two phones now, I'm ready for either one to be upgraded

This Nokia N95 has taken it's course, but I love it for various reasons (So I'm looking into the N97)

But if something worth my wild hits the Android scene, I might wait on upgrading my N95 and just get the Android.

Either or I'm going to want a new phone By Sept, I can wait 2 more months (I think) LMAO!

Well I am a magical user and i haven't missed the physical keyboard. Writing this with the onscreen one now and not having any problems.

I guess if you started out with no physical keyboard then you have nothing to compare it to but the typing speed here isnt a problem and the smaller form factor, better battery and lower weight really do it for me.

On a side note... damned Americans getting a choice of colours!

I too was looking forward to the n97. I currently am using an unlocked e71, and like it a lot. But after reading the early reviews of the N97, it looks like I'm going to pass and pick up the myTouch. Some of the reasons for the n97's lackluster critical reception are due to its resistive and unresponsive touchscreen, mushy keyboard keys, space bar aligned to the right, and dated, sluggish, and unintuitive operating system.

Yeah me too, but also the price tag is a little steep, and I'm in SoCal, so I don't even know how I would get my hands on one to try it out before buying it. Engadget will be running a feature about the n97 sometime this week, and its supposed to be much different than you average review. So make sure to keep your eyes out for that.
