Hmm...guess I've missed seeing that. But will it come with the Sense UI? I just don't get it...seems like Hero would be direct competition to the Magic/MyTouch and since Hero's generally a better unit, just stunt marketing efforts for those. Maybe T-Mo figures the physical looks are different enough to avoid such maketing overlap. Or maybe the prices will be significantly different.

Whatever - it's bound to be while gettin' to the U.S. I figure my contract will be nearly up before I can get a subsidized Hero from T-Mo.

Just went to the local T Mobile store to check out the myTouch (one of the sales guys had one)

Man... it is REALLY a nice looking, compact phone! Looks not much bigger then the Palm Pre, but has a nicer feel to it! He also said battery life seemed great... it was about noon, and it showed an almost full battery icon at the top. He said it had been on all day.

While I'd prefer the Hero, even though it's coming out in the U.K. from T Mobile, I just find it hard to believe T Mobile US would release another Android, this quickly... maybe in six months.

Anyways, the myTouch IS a very nice update to the G1 in my opinion. My biggest gripes with the G1 were battery life, storage for apps (what a pain!!!) and size/look of the device, not exactly a head turner, and bulky when I keep it in my pants pocket, which is were I usually keep it.

For ME, the myTouch IS a pretty nice update!

The look of the hero is starting to grow on me.

I like the hard edges. Looks more masculine (and I want to look manly while using my phone LOL), while the magic has a softer look.
