My New G1 and the SD Card

I searched the forums based on another thread and found nothing about a little "something" covering the sd slot - anyway...I have formatted, inserted and reinserted my sd card over ten times since buying this phone last nite - sometimes it's recognized by the phone and my pc, sometimes just the pc, sometimes just the phone. Sometimes the "mount" works, sometimes it doesnt. This unreliability is crazy! Shouldn't I just be able to pop in a sd card and be ready to roll? Is there a defect here (hardware)? currently, my build is RC28 - Thanks for any help.

Yeah, you should but nothings perfect, I was having a problem with my SD Card when i first got my phone but i just switched it out with my older SD Card, and now it works great.

are you sure its rc28 and not rc29 that could be the problem latestbuild is rc29

I am sure that it is rc28 - how would i update to 29?

Should be auto ota. if not call tmo and if not that way, a lot of people are doing manually from the sd card...do a search it will pop up

i thought rc28 never went out b/c of a security vulnerability...?

well, Ijust bought the g1 last night and it's rc28 - will it come in the next few days ota?
