ironically i was just using that website on my shadow just to get a taste of what i might encounter since i dont have 3g here in pittsburgh. just for show show and tell on my wi-fi(at home) 1366kbit/sec and over gprs(im at the edge of the edge coverage) an abysmal 38kbit/sec. i gotta check out the edge again when im at work tomorrow.

That one didn't work for my good ol' MDA but on http://surrealnetworks.net/bw/meter.php on Edge I'm getting:

Test 1 - 209.7 kbps
Test 2 - 196.6 kbps
Test 3 - 207.4 kbps

I'm in Folsom, CA - Just outside Sacramento.

41 kbit/sec on my trusty old sidekick 3 over Edge. Can't wait to get the G1 and test out 3g speeds.

ok so i got to test out my edge connection im pulling down at an average of 150 to 180 Kbps. thats not too bad because i use google maps on my shadow and that works out pretty well for me. and as for that other link for surreal networks posted on here i dont trust it. it kept bouncing around on me. i got a 406Kbps, a 600somthing Kbps, and hold on to the seat of your pants for this one a 2somthing Mbps reading and a bunch of others ones all over edge. cant wait until tuesday to get my g1 to do the same.

haha, did you hit refresh? if you hit refresh it gives you crazy numbers, you have to click the retest for smartphone link at the bottom of the page.

yea i know thats when the funny numbers were comin up even on my home computer computer which uses fios. the first run showed 10.2 Mbps then it went down to like 4Mbps.
