Major Bluetooth Headset Problem

The G1 experience is definitely a mixed bag. It is such an amazing phone, yet plagued by so many unbelievably severe problems. Here's one to boot:

I paired my Invisio G5 headset with the G1. Right off the bat, I noticed I can't make calls using the G5 alone. Usually, I can press the start/end call button on the G5, and it will prompt me for the name of a person to call. That works on every single phone I have ever tried it on. On the G1, that button did nothing. Fine, differences in implementation I guess...

Soon after, a friend called. I pressed the start/end call button to answer the call with no success. The G1 simply wouldn't respond to the G5's inputs. Now this is unacceptable.

So, I tried to answer the call using the green button on the G1. For some odd reason, the button has been disabled! There was no way to answer that call either from the G5 or the G1!!! Are you kidding me???

I missed that call.

Any idea on what the Hell is going on here?

So far I'm using a Plantronics Explorer 220 which is the cheapest of them all and all is working fine for me on my G1.
