the post card that came with it told you how to turn off automatic syncing i forget how but I know that card tells you that was the first thing I did
I know what caused it but not quite sure how to fix it. For some reason the Contacts in the data synchronzation would not stop doing its thing.
It just kept on syncing over and over with notifications on the top bar and under contacts. And the wierd thing is it was right after doing some editing on my gmail accout on my computer. I finally got the contacts unchecked and that fixed the problim for now. But i want to turn it back on. N E 1 else have this happen to them?

Settings-Data synchronization and there you go
i have 2 Android g1 phones
the black one has all data sync checked and works fine
the brown one has the same settings but has the drain.
I know where the settings are i dont think you read my post correctly.
Is the Data Synchronization ONLY for your contacts? Or what else does that sync? I only ask because I would like to know what I have to manually sync now that I turned that off to save battery.
I’m pretty sure I read your whole post and it said nothing about having two g1s I thought you were trying to fix the battery drain not make the syncing work properly. perhaps you could have named the thread something to do with syncing problem not a battery problem because what I posted would solve your battery problem. Perhaps you should be more clear in the future and not assume we are reading incorrectly.
