low memory.. what to do now

I just rooted my phone.. to cyogen 4.0.1
I have a 1gb sd.. the normal one..

what can I do to free up some space?
If I put apps on sd, will that free up some space, and is 1gb enough, and how would I do it :P
(I have a T-Mobile G1.. got it last christmas)

Considering your on CM rom it will do the apps2sd for you, all you have to have is a ext2/3/4 partition on your sdcard. With a 1gb card i would suggest somthing like 300mb partition, just so you dont limit your fat32 partition. If you get a bigger card later I would suggest adding some to the partition, I have a 4gb card and i have 500mb on my ext3 and thats more than enough room.

I just bought a 8gb class 6 sd card off of amazon for like $20. I have like 1.5 gb dedicated to apps so I will never run out. Just go and order one online, they're so cheap its not even worth worrying about space.
